OPP and Severn to host Town Halls in April

Township of Severn and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are working together to host two Town Halls in April. These in-person events have been organized to offer the Severn community an opportunity to speak to the OPP about their concerns. 

The Town Halls will each start with a presentation by the OPP at 6:00 p.m. that will provide information related to:

• how residents can report an issue or concern to the OPP (non-emergency, emergency, and online options)
• speeding 
• heavy truck traffic

The OPP will also respond to general enforcement questions. 

Staff from the Township of Severn will also be in attendance to speak to what their role is and clarify the issues the Township enforces versus those enforced by the OPP.

The Town Halls are drop-in, and registration is not required.

The Town Halls have been scheduled for: 

• Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Washago Community Centre (4361 Hamilton Street, Washago)
• Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Community Centre (11 Michael Anne Drive, Coldwater)
