Notice of water restrictions for Bass Lake Woodlands

Township of Severn is committed to providing the highest quality of drinking water possible to our residents. To support continued service, we will be constructing two new wells for the Bass Lake Water Supply and Distribution system, with work starting on April 22, 2024. We anticipate that the work will be completed by June 3, 2024. Notices were hand-delivered to affected properties during the week of April 8 to 12.

About the project

The project involves decommissioning the two current wells and drilling new wells in their place. This will allow us to ensure the continued production of safe and reliable drinking water.

As a result, we ask that residents in the Bass Lake Woodlands subdivision reduce water consumption from April 22 to June 3, 2024.

There should be no impacts to your service. However, we do apologize in advance if there are any interruptions. If you experience discolouration of water, please run your taps until the water is clear. The water will continue to be safe to drink and for use as needed, such as for laundry, hygiene, dishes, and food preparation.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Tony Drouin, Superintendent of Water and Wastewater at 705-325-2315 x270.
