Notice of disposition and sale of road allowance

In accordance with the Township of Severn’s Sale of Land Policy and the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, the Corporation of the Township of Severn hereby gives notice that the Township proposes to stop up, close, declare surplus, and sell the unopened road allowance abutting 1478 Balkwill Line. The intent is that the land will be sold and merged with 1478 Balkwill Line (Part 1, Plan 51R3469) upon closing.

The proposed by-law will come before Council for consideration at the Corporate Services Committee meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at our Administrative Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn). 

Subject lands

Part of the unopened road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, Township of North Orillia, now in the Township of Severn, County of Simcoe, being all of PIN 58589-0059.

How to comment

Any person wishing to comment on the proposed disposition and sale is requested to submit comments in writing to the undersigned at the office of the Township Clerk at 1024 Hurlwood Lane, P.O. Box 159 Orillia, Ontario, L3V 6J3 or via email to no later than Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
