You need a permit if you'd like to put up a temporary tent for an event. For example, you may want a temporary tent for a wedding, family reunion or large outdoor party.

Apply for a permit

Please contact us for a copy of the application. We're happy to provide you with the application form and submission instructions.

You need to submit your application at least two to three weeks prior to the scheduled event.

If costs $81.90 to get the permit.

Application checklist

Please submit the following information along with your application:

  • date of the event and the number of guests
  • site plan (including area for guest parking and emergency vehicle access route)
  • construction plans (two sets and can be obtained from the tent rental company)
  • certificate of flame resistance (can be obtained from the tent rental company)
  • completed form for the Fire Department (included in the application)

Event permits

Depending on the size and scale of your event, you may need to apply for additional event permits. Make sure that you have all of the necessary approvals and permits prior to your big day!
