Due dates

Interim tax bills have been mailed and the instalment due dates are March 8 and May 8.   

More than 8,500 properties in our community receive interim tax bills. If we don't receive your property tax payment by the due date, a late payment penalty of 1.25% will be applied on the day after the due date. An additional 1.25% interest will be charged on the first day of each month that you fail to pay your property taxes.

Watermain flushing will take place in Coldwater from Tuesday, January through Thursday, January 19 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. 

Flushing is an important part of our water and wastewater maintenance program and ensures the integrity of the water supply system. Flushing involves isolating a section of the water distribution system and opening hydrants to release water at a high flow rate. Open-air burning and permits

Township of Severn’s Open-Air Burning By-law regulates the issuing of fire permits, the size of fires and materials you can burn within an open-air fire. Fire permits are required for all outdoor burning in Severn. Fire permits are valid until December 31 of the year the permit is issued. Fire permits purchased in 2022 are now expired.
