Volunteers needed for Bass Lake Woodlands and Washago outdoor ice rinks

Volunteer to support active, healthy communities
Severn is seeking volunteers for the Bass Lake Woodlands Park and Washago Community Centre outdoor rinks. Training is provided. The outdoor rinks are volunteer-dependent, meaning that they can't exist without the help provided by members of our community.
Volunteer duties would include:
- shoveling snow from the ice surface
- watering (flooding) down the rink
- ensuring the skating surface is in overall good condition
- reporting ice conditions to Township staff

Winter parking restrictions
Although the snow has been slow to arrive, we appreciate that many residents and others have already avoided parking on the streets. A reminder that winter parking restrictions will be in effect from December 1 to March 31. Please note, parking is not allowed on any road between the hours of 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Vehicles may be ticketed or towed regardless of snow clearing operations and weather conditions.

Mail service disruptions are likely as a result of the recent strike activity by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). Township of Severn wants to ensure we provide you with easy options for payments.
Please remember, even during mail disruptions, all penalties, interest, or fines remain in effect. We are unable to make exceptions for late payments sent by mail.
