Township of Severn is lifting seasonal load restrictions May 2
The Seasonal Load Restrictions By-law restricts loads on most Township roads to a maximum of five tonnes per axle in the spring starting on March 1 and are in effect until around the end of May. This restriction is put in place to protect our roads when they may be weakened by excess water in the road base and can then be damaged by heavy vehicles.

Watermain flushing will be taking place in Coldwater starting Wednesday, April 27 through to Thursday, April 28 during the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some discolouration of water or intermittent drops in water pressure may result from the flushing.
Once the water has cleared and is no longer discoloured, you can resume all regular activities, including drinking. Drinking small quantities of discoloured water does not present a health concern.

Spring street sweeping has started in Severn
Severn, Ontario: Street sweeping will be carried out during the months of April and May, weather permitting as sweeping requires dry conditions. If the weather changes and causes sweeping delays, crews will return to any areas in the Township that may not have been serviced.
Residents are asked to keep roads clear of parked vehicles and other obstructions to ensure the sweeping is effective as possible and that areas are not missed.
