Watermain flushing will be taking place in Coldwater starting Wednesday, May 11 through to Thursday, May 12 during the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some discolouration of water or intermittent drops in water pressure may result from the flushing. 

Once the water has cleared and is no longer discoloured, you can resume all regular activities, including drinking. Drinking small quantities of discoloured water does not present a health concern.

Severn, Ontario: Township of Severn would like to inform residents of Hawkins Corners that staff from Golder / WSP will be completing a door-to-door potable water well survey from May 11 to May 12. 

Golder / WSP field staff will be visiting homeowners to confirm if they have a potable water well on their property. No physical work is involved at this time.

Thank you from Severn Council to all Pitch-in volunteers 

Severn, Ontario: Township of Severn would like to recognize the volunteers that helped to keep Severn beautiful by participating in Pitch-In Week during April.  Council and staff are inspired and grateful for the efforts of the community who each helped to make this year's event a huge success. This year saw the participation of 521 volunteers:

  • 18 individual and/or families
  • 1 school 
  • 6 community groups

Compost available for purchase at County of Simcoe waste facilities May 9 to May 28

Severn, Ontario: The County of Simcoe has announced that between May 9 and May 28 they are once again offering its popular compost sale at all County waste facilities. While quantities last, for $5 per carload, or $20 per truck or trailer load, Severn residents can purchase compost produced in-house using leaf and yard waste material generated throughout the County of Simcoe.

Compost is a soil amendment used in gardens to add nutrients, or as a top dressing for lawns to help retain moisture....
