About the Bursary Program

The County of Simcoe is committed to working with member municipalities to support the pursuit of higher education. Through the County’s long-standing Education Bursary Program, twenty-one $3,000 bursaries are available to County of Simcoe students attending a post-secondary institution in Canada. One bursary is guaranteed for a resident of each of the County of Simcoe’s sixteen member municipalities.

Coldwater Road to Mill Street in Coldwater will be closed on Friday, March 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the Coldwater Legion St. Patrick's Day parade. A detour will be available via Michael Anne Drive.

Snow clearing (plowing and sanding) and snow removal (picking up snow and moving it away) are two very different services in Severn. In most cases, snow can be managed within the existing road allowance with snowbank heights not exceeding the height defined by our service level policy. After heavy or continued snowfalls, it sometimes becomes necessary to reduce snow banks in size when they begin to restrict sightlines, travel widths, and pedestrian traffic.
