Our Administration Office and facilities will be closed on Monday, August 5 for the Civic holiday. We will reopen Tuesday, August 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Notice: Herbicide use for Giant hogweed control on the Uhthoff Trail on August 1

Details of control measures

Township of Severn will be undertaking a second application of herbicide to occurrences of Giant hogweed located along the Uhthoff Trail, primarily in the areas of Division Road and Carlyon Line, and Uhthoff Line and Foxmead Road. The first treatment was completed on June 24 and further herbicide use is needed for effective treatment. Signage will be placed in the areas of the trail that have been treated.

New traffic calming measures in place on Michael Anne Drive

In support of our traffic calming initiatives two new pairs of speed cushions and signage have been installed on Michael Anne Drive in Coldwater.

Partnership with Georgian Bay offers Severn residents free parking pass for Port Severn Park

Through a partnership agreement with the Township of Georgian Bay a limited number of free parking passes for Port Severn Park and Beach (17 Port Severn Road North) will be available for Severn residents. The Port Severn community is shared between Severn and Georgian Bay, and for many Severn residents Port Severn Park and Beach is the closest park for children to play. 

Port Severn Park and Beach includes:
