With upcoming changes to the Community Safety and Policing Act, the City of Orillia and the Townships of Severn, Oro-Medonte, and Ramara are inviting applications from community members to join the newly-formed Couchiching OPP Detachment Board. This board will replace the Orillia Police Services Board.

Watermain flushing will take place in Coldwater from Tuesday, February 13 to Friday, February 16 from 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Watermain flushing is an important preventative maintenance activity that:
- removes mineral and sediment build up from the watermains
- allows Severn to deliver the highest quality water possible to our community
- ensures proper operation of the hydrant
Some discolouration of water or intermittent drops in water pressure may result from the flushing.
